Games Producer

At Hypersonic Laboratories we're looking for a Games Producer to join our team.
Full-time · Remote

Who are we?

Hypersonic Labs is building HELIX, the ultimate open-world multiplayer sandbox. We are a remote-first, international team and have raised $11M from top gaming VCs.

About the role

We’re seeking a Games Producer to help manage the day-to-day development of our project, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining team efficiency. The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for metrics, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to surfacing and resolving risks before they become issues. You will work with a cross-disciplinary team of developers and collaborate closely with senior management to chart, update, and optimize project roadmaps.

In this role, you will handle the day-to-day SCRUM process for a team of 10 developers (growing to around 20), mix of remote and later on on-site, ensuring that the team stays on track, morale remains high, and potential roadblocks are identified and dealt with promptly. You’ll also focus on improving workflows through the analysis of performance data and process optimization.

This is initially a remote position, with probability of on-site in the future, from our office in Guildford, Surrey.

What you will be doing

  • Overseeing the day-to-day production processes, including running SCRUM meetings and sprint planning.

  • Collaborating with senior management to maintain, update, and optimize project roadmaps.

  • Monitoring and analyzing team performance metrics, creating dashboards to track progress, and using insights to improve processes.

  • Ensuring all project milestones are hit on time and within scope by actively managing and mitigating risks.

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for the development team, removing blockers and resolving conflicts to keep the project moving forward.

  • Facilitating cross-disciplinary collaboration between developers, artists, designers, and other stakeholders.

  • Ensuring transparency and regular communication within the team and with leadership.

  • Supporting team cohesion, morale, and communication, especially in a remote work environment.

  • Maintaining clear, detailed documentation of project progress, issues, and solutions.

What we will need from you

  • Experience in game production or project management, with at least one shipped title.

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira, Trello, Monday, Asana, Clickup etc. (experience with Helix Plan, our internal tool of choice, is a big plus).

  • Demonstrable experience working with SCRUM and agile methodologies.

  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyze team performance metrics and optimize workflows based on data insights.

  • A proactive approach to identifying risks and resolving issues before they escalate.

  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on keeping a distributed, remote team cohesive and productive.

  • Experience in conflict resolution and managing team dynamics in a positive and constructive manner.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Helix Plan for project management.

  • Experience leading remote teams in a game development context.

  • Demonstrable ability to create and manage performance dashboards that track key project metrics.

  • Familiarity with multiplayer or open-world game production pipelines.
